The Face on the Milk Carton
As we finished the first half of the book The Face on the Milk Carton the main character, Janie Johnson, got the answers to these three important questions:
- Why there weren’t any photographs of [her] until she was five?
- Who was Hannah?
- Why [her parents] wouldn’t let her see [her] birth certificate?
It seems that by the end of Chapter 9 the story should end as the important questions, mentioned-above, have been answered. However, it doesn’t - in fact, we are only half way through the book and there still is much left to resolve (to clear up). To help prepare for the remaining half of the book I would like you to answer the following questions (there are no right or wrong answers):
- What will happen with Janie and her parents? Will the relationship stay the same or will it change? Will Janie continue to treat Frank and Miranda as her parents or will she begin to treat them like grandparents? Will she be able to trust them as they have been lying to her all these years? Or will they become closer as a result of their past?
- What will happen with Janie and Hannah? Will Janie try to find her biological mom? Will she do it with the help of her mom and dad (Miranda and Frank)? Or will Janie decide that since Hannah left her once before and hurt her mom and dad there should be no reason for her to try to find her?
- What will happen with Janie and Reeve? Will they make up (they were in a fight the last time they were together)? Will they become officially boyfriend/girlfriend? Or will they just return to being friendly neighbors?
- Janie doesn’t have a birth certificate - will she be able to get a driver’s license or go to Spain with her class? This last question is more of a yes/no type of question. Regardless of what answer you choose, tell me why it did/didn’t happen and, if possible, how it happened if you answered yes.
Again, keep in mind that as you answer these questions there are no right or wrong answers, just your thoughts. If there are possbilites that you have thought of and I have not – please feel free to include them. Do the best that you can!! If you need some help, please politely ask for some help — there is only one of me and many more of you…

i think that janie and her parents will have a better relation ship togethar because now that they dont have to keep or hide anything from her and now that they told her about her real mom maby they could go see her real mom some day. janie and her real mom hanna can maby for give her parents and let janie stay with her parents and if hanna has her life to gethar maby janie can go back and live with her. janiue and reece mite get togethare and maby have a life togethar. with janie not having her birth sertificate i think that she mite be able to get on or in some things but not all without her sertificate.

What i think will happen to Janie and her parents will be they will be so much happier now that they told her the truth and Janie will feel more safer and relieved.
I dont think that Janie will go looking for her biological mom because she doesnt feel that its right that she left her there with her grandparents to take care of her and not her taking the respondsilbility on taking care of her only child.
I believe that Reeve and Janie will get over the hole fighting thing and finally start dating because they really like each other and they have none each other for a long time. I think that Janie will get her drivers licence because they could go find her mom and find out where she was born and they could go and get a copie of her birth certificate and then she would get her drivers licence.

Ithink that the relationship between the grandparents and her will still be the same only she wont call them mom, and dad anymore. I think she will still trust them and understand they were try to protect her.I also think that Janie, and her real mom will meat and they will stay incontact and her mom will get out of the cult with the help of her douter, mom, and dad. As for Janie, and Reeve they will make up, and end up going out. Janie will get her birth certificate, and get her drivers license, and go to the trip to Spain her class. What will happen to Jannie and her parents (grandparents) is, Jannie will always forgive them and she (jannie) will treat them like if they were her real parents. What I think will happen with her and Hannah her mom is, jannie will call her and hannah is going to go viset her and her parents (hannahs parents). When jannie saw all the love she asked her mom hannah to live with them and her mom dosent know what to saw so . . . . . . yah. What will happen to jannie and reeve is they make up and they start to go out and reeve dose another move on jannie. jannie finally gets her birth certificate and she gets yo go to spain with her friends.

What I think may happen with Janie and her parents or grandparents is that Janie may not trust her grandparents because they have lied to her her whole life. What may happen with Janie and Hannah is that they will meat while Janie is being driven by Reeve by that one place that Hannah had went off to when she was like 15/16 and Hannah may recognize her by the color of her eyes or she might just feel it. What I think will happen with Janie and Reeve is that they will get together and they willbe girlfriend and boyfrien for the rest of the story/novel. I don’t really think that Janie will be able to do either of them because she has no idea wher her mom might be or where her birth certificate may be.
